Security
The security and privacy of information you enter at mycysticfibrosis.com is very important to us.
We have taken a number of steps to safeguard your privacy.

Access to mycysticfibrosis.com requires registration.
During registration we ask you to select a username and password, which will be required each time you logon to mycysticfibrosis.com.
To ensure privacy of your data, never share your username and password with anyone unless you want them to have access to your data.
You may change your username and/or your password at any time by logging on and selecting the Profile tab and the Change Username/Password option.

When you logon to mycysticfibrosis.com a session ID is generated for the duration of your logon.
This session ID ends as soon as you log out. In addition, you session ID will automatically time out after a period of 30 minutes if you are not active on the site.
mycysticfibrosis.com does not use cookies unless you choose the Save Logon Info option at the time you log on.

You may choose to access mycysticfibrosis.com over a Secure Link by using Secure Socket Layer (SSL).
To access mycysticfibrosis.com over a secure connection, you must use a browser that supports SSL; examples of such browsers include Internet Explorer (version 4 or higher) or Netscape (version 4 or higher).
SSL manages secure, encrypted communications between you (the user) and our central computer (our server).
The SSL ensures that any message you send is delivered only to the person you designate.
Some users may encounter a slight reduction in speed at logon.
Privacy
We will respect your privacy and treat all data that we receive from you as confidential.
We will restrict access to your data to the PDHI healthcare personnel responding to your inquiries.
In return, you agree to allow the data that you provide to us to be anonymously pooled into a collective database for the purpose of assessing general trends and outcomes.
We will protect your privacy by removing all personal identifiers from any data that we pool into a collective database.
We will not disclose to third parties any identifying data, including name, mailing address, e-mail address and phone number unless
1) you expressly direct PDHI to disclose such information or
2) PDHI is required to disclose such information by any applicable law or legal process served on PDHI.
